New Line From DSL........

DSL KIDS Winter Wardrobe
Photos taken by Patton Photography
The Winter Models from Left to Right....Alivia, Kyleigh, Kylan, and Emily

This past Sunday, we had our winter photo shoot!! I was so very excited to finally have pictures of all the new things DSL has to offer. Patton Photography did a wonderful job capturing the true essence of each outfit. You can check out her other work by visiting http://pattonphotography.shutterfly.com/. I would defiantly recommend her for all of your photography needs if you are in the upstate.

Let me start by first taking the time to introduce you to the two new models:) I am so very happy to have them and hope that they had a blast:) The little one is Kylan and the other little blonde is Kyleigh his big sister. They are the children of my cousin Misty and her husband Shawn Petras. I feel certain that Kyleigh had a blast, as she loved putting on all of the clothes.

All the little ones did great!!! They never cease to amaze me. I am very fortunate to have extremely well behaved models:)

Kylan wearing "Play Ball"

Kylan wearing "Gingerbread Man"

This outfit is perfect for the mom looking for a matching outfit for her little boy and girl. The girl version would be a brown and white gingham jumper set.

Alivia wearing "Santa's favorite Reindeer"
This outfit like the Gingerbread man can be made in matching little boy and girl outfits. The name on the boy longall would be in a royal blue and a stick font.
Alivia wearing "Turquoise Magic"
Alivia wearing "Bubbles"

Kyleigh wearing "Michael Miller inspired overalls"

Alivia wearing "Children Blocks Brown version"
Kyleigh wearing "Peppermint Christmas"

Emily wearing "Wholly Cow"

Kyleigh wearing "Birthday Girl"

Alivia wearing "I'm a Lit' Tea Pot"

Kyleigh wearing "A Whimsical Forest"
Emily wearing "The Crazy Elf"

Kyleigh wearing "Brown Toil"
Emily wearing "Peppermint Princess"
Kyleigh wearing "Children's Block Blue Version"
Alivia wearing "An Apple A Day"
Emily wearing "Children's Block Pink Version"
Alivia wearing "A Colorful Day"
Kyleigh wearing "Lit'l Deuce Coup"

Alivia wearing "Dottie Lime Version"
I am so excited about this winter wardrobe. I hope that you find something that you like:)
I would also like to take this time to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. Remember to take time to truly be thankful for the many blessings in your life. This time of year is very special to me, especially since I was sick. I now truly understand the meaning of being thankful. The thing I am most thankful for this year is a second chance at life. Not everyone is afforded that blessing. I am very grateful that God allowed me more time on this earth with the people I love the most. Thanks so much to all of them for all they have done to help me with DSL Kids. A special thanks to all of you as well!!!
As always thanks for stopping by, and Happy Turkey Day (as Alivia says:).

Since then she and Alivia have become quit good friends, which we are very grateful for.
The photos you see above were also the work of Emily's mom Michelle. She did a wonderful job and I am very excited to have her as my photographer now. Sometimes I think I got more out of this than she did....great pictures and a beautiful model!!!

DSL Girls Playing in Style.................

Nivens Apple Farm
Playdate Anyone?!?

The above picture is of Emily and Alivia in the playhouse at Niven's Apple Farm. Emily is the daughter of Michelle Patton from Dotted Deer Boutique (http://www.dotteddeerboutique.etsy.com/). Michelle and I met through Etsy and as shown in an earlier post "A Birthday Outfit for Emily". Friday was the first of hopefully many playdates for Alivia and Emily. You would have never known that Emily and Alivia had never officially met until that day. They played like they had known each other forever:) As you will see from the pictures below, they had a wonderful time following each other around, running, playing, looking at the animals, and just being girls. When I say being girls, I mean being girls:) It had been raining the night before, but we decided to let them play anyway. While they had a wonderful time and didn't let it slow them down for one minute, once we got to the car to go to lunch they were both wanting the dirt off of them. Typical ribbons and bows girls:) Of course Michelle and I had nothing to do with that all at, did we Michelle?

Below are a few pictures from the girls playing......
Alivia in typical Alivia form posing for the camera. I am so grateful for her loving to be photographed. (She is wearing Harvest from my shop)
Emily watching Alivia. It was amazing how well they took to each other. You would have thought they had known each other forever. Of course, Emily wasn't quit sure of all Alivia's energy to start with:)
You got to love those blue eyes and curls. The camera definatly loves Emily, and she's not to shy of it either!! Emily is going to be one of my new models. I am so excited. She is going to start helping with my winter wardrobe.

Alivia being Alivia. You gotta love that face. She is definatly Aunt Chrissy's heart.
The girls are quit sure that this is their new favorite thing to do. Alivia loves to jump and Michelle said that Emily had been trying to jump on the bed, so this was perfect for both of them. They jumped their little hearts out and their laughter echoed through the air. To me there is nothing better than the sound of a child having fun!!!

Two other great things happened on Friday as well. I was able to get my custom jewelry from Michelle. Which by the way is amazing. I couldn't pick a favorite if I had to. Michelle is very talented jewelry maker. You should definatly check out her shop on etsy. Not only is Michelle a talented jewelry maker, she is also an amazing photographer as you can see from the pictures above. So Alivia found a new friend and I found a new photographer (of course Michelle and I were already friends)!!!

Alivia and I had a great time Friday and we hope to do it again very soon. Stay tuned for my winter wardrobe Michelle is going to start taking the pictures a week from Monday!!!!

~~Thanks Michelle and Emily for a great day~~

As always thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to check out my shop at http://www.dottiestripelayne.etsy.com/ . If your little one is a DSL girl and you would like her pictures on the blog, send a picture of her in her favorite DSL outfit to dottiestripelayne@yahoo.com .

Thanks again

Emily is wearing the top of the outfit as a short dress. The length of this top is perfect for that of a dress. This outfit is very versitle in that it can be worn together for a complete outfit or seperatly as a dress. It can also be worn sleeveless or with a shirt for cooler weather.

You gotta love those curls!!

Emily is wearing the pieces together as an outfit. It makes for two different looks.

~~Emily got a wonderful surprise on her second bithday. She found out that she was going to be a big sister. How exciting is that?!? What a great Birthday present!!! Congrats Michelle on your wonderful news!!!~~

Emily is the daughter of Michelle from the Dotted Deer Boutique (http://www.dotteddeerboutique.etsy.com/). She makes amazing jewelry. If you are in the need for jewelry for a special occasion or just for everyday use, I would highly recommend that you check out her shop.
